It's already a lot.
Diesel is £1.42 in Weston.

hahaha
I have no idea what I was trying to say there.
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:14, Reply)
Although that's quite cheap.
I paid £160 for a pair of their jeans.

I remember when it was about 50p a litre.
I could fill the tank in my little Peugeot 106 for less than twenty quid!
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:14, Reply)
The first car I had - a one litre Nova.
Thirteen quid to fill it from 'I've been running on empty for a few days' to 'this'll last ages, a full tank'.

I wouldn't know about my first car - a Mini 850
Because I drove it into a metal fence three days after buying it.

Ouch...

(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:27, Reply)
Sideways
It bounced along the middle bits, but every 15 feet or so there's a structural post mounted in concrete.

Hit that side on and knocked the front of the car 15 degrees out of true.

I think you'll find that most mini's had a grille on the front anyway.

It was about 85p when I passed my test ten years ago.
I used to be able to fill my little car for £35. It's close on £80 these days.

Are you lot reminiscing about petrol prices?

(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:19, Reply)
Sad isn't it?
I'm also over on facebook reminiscing with a couple of mates about the Pixies and Jane's Addiction.

Are we old?
When did we get old?
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:21, Reply)
I don't know about old.
The missus refers to it as 'middle youth'.
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:25, Reply)
You're to blame.
Probably.
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:25, Reply)
I usually am.
You know what they say: you're only as old as the man you feel.
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:28, Reply)
That is perfectly acceptable to me

(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:22, Reply)
Thank God for that.

I remember seeing the Pixies at a V Festival a few years back.
I had fun.
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:22, Reply)
I saw them in the late 80's in Newcastle.
Supported by the Wolfgang Press. Excellent gig. Kim Deal just radiated loveliness.
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:24, Reply)
I radiated the aura of a bloke pilled off his tits.

(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:25, Reply)
A couple of the people I was with probably did as well.
I was never into it so I stuck with the beer. And possibly a shmoke.
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:26, Reply)
I missed all the reunion gigs
And was too young to see them before they split. I've nearly seen them separately though - I saw Frank Black solo at Reading one year, I've also seen the Breeders and also David Lovering's magic show.

We bought a Peugeot 107 two years ago.
It cost about £36 to fill it. Now it's more like £46. The one benefit of not working at the moment is we're not using much fuel just now.
(, Wed 28 Mar 2012, 21:19, Reply)
i know what you mean.
I do about 5000 miles a year at most.
