I read really quite a bit of science fiction, when I was younger.I am a huge fan of Jules Verne, but to my mind the majority of it pales hugely into insignificance in comparison with the writing of someone like Dostoevsky, it's just throwaway shite - which has its place - but is on the whole a worthless heap of shit.
