It's very nice, I am pleasantly suprised. I was expecting drinkable, not "oooh I'll put a few more in the fridge now"

I've recently realised that the apple trees in my garden
a) aren't crab apples
b) have a SHIT TONNE of apples on them.

What are the chances that making cider wouldn't go terribly wrong?

easy
You will need:
Apples
Juicer
Sieves and muslin cloth
Funnels
Tubing for syphoning off
Demijohn & airlock
Campden tablets (to kill the yeast)
Yeast of your choice
Finings to clear the liquid
Bottles to store it in
A hydrometer to measure specific gravity and hence alcohol % is useful

I think I'd have to have an apple party
to use up the apples. Crumble, cider, jam. Whatelse does one make with apples? Although thinking about it, perhaps they'll all just get eaten by wasps
