I've reached a point in life where I'm genuinely excited about a new function I've found working with spreadsheets in Excel.
What lows have you reached recently?
Alt: metal or wood and why?

I was entering data manually - now I can automate it! HUZZAH!
I was meant to be playing bass with New Model Army by this point in my life.

Pivots are good if the final result you want is a pivot table
if there's any other steps then they're shit. Much better to use =countifs and =sumifs

I'm making graphs.
Specifically, peak flow graphs.
It seems to be alright for that, but I need to get my head around them. Is there a way to make it include zeros where there isn't any data?

If(E5='',"0",E5)
will replace any blanks with a zero, if you're looking at cell E5 obviously.
just copy that down in a new column

Oh, there you go...jolly good!
...never knew that. Also works with double "pips" too.
I like Excel....useful for working out 7 parameter transformations to convert raw GPS data to Transverse Mercator Map Grid co-ordinates.
Also like wood, not metal.

Well its set up like this
IF(1,2,3)
where:
1 logical test
2, value if true
3, value if false.
2 or 3 can be replaced with any other functions of sets of functions in excel.
