but he also listened to our collective arguments and changed his mind. That I feel should be respected, not repeated constantly because you're proud you remembered a thread where you won an argument 3 years ago.

I worked for a well know recycling company which advertises 24hour payment (or they did, dunno if they still do) but were taking 2-3 weeks to pay. Someone needed the money sooner so I helpfully informed them that on this particular occasion an equally well know competitor were paying within 24hours as promised. The management weren't to happy so did me for gross misconduct.

I'd already handed in my notice and only had about 4days left to work so I wasn't to bothered.
