I'm going to buy a violin with this month's paycheque.
I've wanted one for a good few months now and it would be so cool if I could play it. Gonna look up lessons. Then when I go to camp fires and house parties, someone will be all like "Chicks dig guys who can play guitars, look at me play Wonderwall and Time Of Your Life where we can all sing along but EVERYONE SING IN KEY BECAUSE I DONT WANT YOU MAKING ME LOOK BAD... NO THE SECOND VERSE COMES IN AFTER THE THIRD 'E' ".

And then I'll be all like SUPER COCK BLOCK, and get out my fiddle and be all like "If I was a rich man, a really really rich man, a la de da da da da rich man" which totally trumps Wonderwall.

Wonderwalll is easily trumped
Dunno about the violin thing though Gonz, they're a bugger to play and even more difficult to play AND sing with.

"This year's annual" is a bit redundant, isn't it?
Rather like the Captain. Heau heau.

Wonderwall is a musical sponge-cake.
Sure, it's a bit dull and boring, but there isn't anyone who _doesn't_ like it, and once you know it, you can make the VIctoria Sponge that is "Time Of Your Life" or the Lemon Drizzle that is Save Tonight (Eagle Eye Cherry). And from there, eventually, you can adapt it into the Rolly Polly Pudding that is Stay (Lisa Loeb).
