My house is an 1880's victorian three story town house
the cellar is cut into the natural sandstone and brick lined, so it doesn't need a full newton tanking membrane, channel and pump
IE www.permagard.co.uk/newton-membranes.html
so I will be having a supporting wall removed and a RSJ put in place, a couple of radiators and then will be using a Sika tanking slurry to make it function as a habitable room

Never made the step from above ground damp-proofing to tanking.
Afraid of it failing I suppose, giving lifetime guarantees.
