The wife has one, they weight nothing and seem to have a battery life of at least a day.
But they ahve no disc drive.

Can't remember the last time I used a cd or DVD drive so that's not a problem.

But as you say an external drive gets round this, How often do you actually use cd/dvd's on a laptop nowadays.
