In recent vegetable news...
I got my allotment all planted up a couple of weeks ago, only to discover that the water tap that the council installed doesn't actually fucking work.
Sad times.

Cool. I planted some broccoli and French beans in egg boxes on my kitchen window and they're rocketed in about a week.
I'll plant them outside at the weekend. Nature is pretty fucking cool.

I have lettuces, runner beans, red onions and purple sprouting brocolli out in the plot
6 tomato varieties, sunflowers, courgettes, french beans, chard, sprouts and some other bits growing in pots ready for planting out in a week or so

Aren't you a bit late?
I got mine planted out a week or two back. Had them chitted weeks before that.
Also you're a southern woopsie, so you can get away with doing it even earlier in the year.
