Good morning offtopic
I'd like to know how you celebrated the gift of a free day off yesterday?

We took the calves to a soft play place and were the only ones there for a good hour or so. Quick lunch in the pub then off to a community farm event for a few hours, then back home for (in my case) bricklaying

Best/Worst bank holiday stories

Well, We Will Rock You was monumentally shit
Ben Elton truly is King of the Cunts. And Curly from Coronation Street was in it. And that was the fucking highlight. Spanked a couple on monkeys on substandard merlot in the intermission to make it through but the overwhelming third act arm-swaying dun me up like a facken kipper! Diabolcal liberties etc, etc.

Paying money to watch a musical would actually hurt me

(, Tue 6 May 2014, 10:58, Reply)
I like musicals
I get totes emoshe and all that, but these cunts weren't even trying. They just took some undercooked Rocky Horror style cheese and wedged some Queen songs in the cracks. My excitement peaked when they did 'Who Wants to Live Forever' and I was looking forward to giving Highlander a rewatch for the gajillionth time.

I had the "pleasure" of watching Rocky Horror years ago
I could not get out of there fast enough
(, Tue 6 May 2014, 11:11, Reply)
Definitely this.
I fucking hate musicals. Was made to watch West Side Story when I was at school and hated every single one since then.

I literally cringe when someone bursts into song in a film

The only vague exception I would make to this is The Blues Brothers, with Belushi & Ackroyd

(, Tue 6 May 2014, 11:17, Reply)
If you just keep it to the musical numbers Blues Brothers 2000 is actually pretty good
I'm yet to find someone that agrees with me on this but I'm ever hopeful.

I'll agree with this one

My Bank Holiday by David Aged 33.1/2
I had an omelette.
Then Lemmy and I watched cricket.
Then I had some soup, and Lemmy had some seeds.
Then Lemmy and I watched snooker.
I think Swipe was there too.

The end.

Lemmy is the best one here.

I also got yet another pair of Timberland boots, Lemmy didn't need any, he has claws.

Yesterday I did a tip run, BBQ'd some meat and half-watched the snooker whilst watching Breaking Bad on the laptop
Some beers were involved there somewhere and there's a vague possibility I dun some sex on the missus as per contractual obligations and the lesser-spotted 'morning glory' rule.
(, Tue 6 May 2014, 10:55, Reply)
I contracted from your missus last week
It still burns when I piss

Yeah, getting rid of the shag pile was a big mistake

(, Tue 6 May 2014, 11:04, Reply)
Her piles were still present

(, Tue 6 May 2014, 11:10, Reply)
Well that's the only way you were getting any friction.

As mentioned in a previous thread
I did some DIY on Saturday & visited the Doris's mum. Fitted a blind in the Doris's kitchen* on Sunday and went to Broadway yesterday - where I bought an awesome hat - and Bourton on the water - where I drank some Estrella.

*I really must write to the makers as their instructions are WRONG!!!

slept till noon
went for a jog
showered
went for a hot dog at the blind beggar
went out on a date to a fancy restaurant and then cocktails at a secret-but-everybody-knows bar.

Good day. Except for waking at 6am this morning still tired but unable to go back to sleep :(

(, Tue 6 May 2014, 11:35, Reply)
I got gipped for a pint in there,
ordered a burger and a pint and realised only later I'd paid £6 for the pint. :(
