Late 60's - Late 70's could be appropriately rounded into a decade known as 'the seventies'.

Cultural movements don't carefully line themselves up with decades. 68 and 69 were very different to the era typically referred to as "the sixties" and had more in common with the early to mid seventies and oh Jesus I'm boring myself I might go for some chips
