I don't really have a favourite time period
just a long list of people I hate. Which is tedious for anyone else to have to hear.

alt: Stewart Lee tonight. Mrs is going to Queen tomorrow and I've said I will pick her up.

altalt: I have never got on with slow cookers. use the fucking oven.

i like stuff from everywhere, i freely admit my music taste is very mainstream
but i will say that "africa" is the best song of the 80's.

I like the 50s and 60s for jazz and rock'n'roll, the 60s for pop music and psych/freakbeat, the 70s for library music and post-punk, the 80s for indie-pop and American underground guitar bands, the 90s for shoegaze, noise, oh I can't be bothered to type any more you get the idea.

Late 60's - Late 70's could be appropriately rounded into a decade known as 'the seventies'.

(, Fri 16 Jan 2015, 11:35, Reply)
not really
Cultural movements don't carefully line themselves up with decades. 68 and 69 were very different to the era typically referred to as "the sixties" and had more in common with the early to mid seventies and oh Jesus I'm boring myself I might go for some chips
(, Fri 16 Jan 2015, 11:37, Reply)

I like music with soul as a quality, not a style.
Regardless of decade, genre, or any other filing system.

Some soul music is soulless pap. Some punk has more soul than soul songs.

Country is the white man's blues.

Sorry - I appear to be taking this seriously.

Mrs V and I have an unexpectedly free weekend, as we were due to visit inlaws, but had to cancel due to lol admin issues.
