Fave books as a child were the Narnia series and Stig of the dump.
As an adult I like Sci-fi. Especially classic stuff - Asimov, Heinlein, Pohl, Vonnegut et al. I also love William Gibson's stuff, not just the 'sprawl' series.

it's called "the hourglass factory"
the plot sounds great, mixing suffragettes with the circus in 1912. i've only just started it, not quite sure the writing lives up to the promise of the plot, but it's very very readable nonetheless, would recommend.
