Haven't been getting the usual constant responses either.

HSH seems to have hit a brick wall as regards it's shelf life.

But Vipros is right, the straight insult threads are only fleeting fun, and they turn stale just as fast.

At one time, many of the regulars were either unemployed or had a boring 'do-nothing' job. Fortunately, us being the enterprising souls that we are, we did something about it. But this had the knock-on effect that b3ta was no longer blessed with their presence. There are certain posters who's absence can be clearly seen as a gap. But fortunately, the newcomers make good contributions and get into the spirit of things.

I do notice that the synergy between the fluffyness and the spikeyness does seem to be a bit wobbly as of late, but if we don't focus on that and instead post something interesting, I'm sure the synergy will soon be restored.

But if you're reading this and starting to worry that this great thing we built up ourselves is coming to an end, don't worry. I've been on another forum with a lively community that has unexpectedly sprung up out of an off-topic board. Over the years, it's had it's ups and it's downs. Occasionally, you get a phase of people posting about how it isn't as fun as it used to be, and then, it gets fun again. It's just a phase we're going through, so sit tight grasshopper.

I could come up with many more theories but I won't bore you with them ... for now...

Fortunately, we've had some interesting threads today. Pity I don't have the time to read all of them anymore.
