Who is in the wrong here?
A middle aged female friend from the States posted some pictures of a hen night on her Facebook site. One picture showed one of her girlfriends kneeling down on the floor playing some "hen party type" game picking up ping balls with her mouth.

Although the dress-top the girl was wearing was quite conservative, her posture and camera angle revealed a fair amount of cleavage.

The first comment on the picture was "XX being a good sport but failing LOL"

I wrote "nice cleavage tho"

Within hours the comment was removed- I got a severe dressing down from my friend and i had recieved dozens of very aggressive comments from my friend's mates, thier mates' mates and about a dozen strangers who felt the need to lambast me.

Now had I wrote;
"nice cleavage- fancy a tit wank?"
I could understand the commotion - but the girl DID have a nice cleavage- I was simply making an observation.

So who is in the wrong here ?-

Agree with BGB too that the reaction was maybe a bit much but to be honest I just wouldn't make any comments about someone I didn't actually know. Especially anything a bit sexual.

I think he was totally in the wrong there,
what if she had a ridiculously jealous boyfriend/husband who saw his comment and went off on one. What if she's very self consious about her breasts? What if she has just been diagnosed with breast cancer or something?

I think we need to see the comments
before we can judge. But if you spend a lot of time on b3ta, you do forget that most people don't find the stuff we write here acceptable, and you end up with a fairly skewed outlook.

Now if some total stranger made a comment about my girlfriends tits on a photo on facebook, I would probably be a bit miffed.

Your comment would have more validity
if she had posted a photo of herself with her tits spilling out. But someone else posting a photo of you in a position you wouldn't normally adopt makes it a bit different.

...if you could comment on it without sounding pervy, or whilst sounding pervy if it was someone you knew, then great. But then it's probably best not to comment in the first place when it's someone you don't know - two wrongs don't make a right and all....

As for Britney, etc., and all those other celebrities forgetting to put their underwear on, I don't understand their thinking - on the one hand it's publicity but it's also a nit much. The Britney one put me off my lunch when I first saw it.

It probably was a bit of a daft thing to say to a stranger. If you knew the girl and her sense of humour etc then it would have different, you would have known how she would take the comment.

I agree the backlash you received was probably a tad extreme, if it were my page you posted on I'd have probably just deleted the comment and spoke to you later saying 'mate she'll get upset' or something along those lines!?!

As a woman, (despite the rumours contrary), I don't particulary like comments from strangers regarding my boobs but I do know the difference between friendly banter and sexual attention.
