Yes I know, but
HDs have a bit of RAM in them to help speed up the data transfer. I've got an 8Mb cache on my 60 gig HD so I did some back of an envelope calculations to see what size drive would need a 2 gig cache. Do you see?

css word of advice: rather than using css just to position image layers, set the image as a layer background, thus when you change the image in the css, it saves you going through each page in the site.
