I actually bought Sainsbury's Value lager once. It looked, smelled and tasted like carbonated water. Basically what you get when you operate a soda-stream without adding the flavour. Truefax.

I bought some Tesco value vodka
it had ingredients on the back: water, alcohol, glycerol.
They hadn't distilled vodka, they'd made slightly thickened alcoholic water!

at least it's cheap, though
if you purchase Coors Light on draft it tastes just about the same, but you get charged several pounds for the privilege of your alcocarbonated water.
