the name of a character from the acclaimed animé Tenchi Muyo!. In her case the name is built not from the ideograms meaning 'great wave' but ones that loosely mean 'wise enchanting ferry' which makes ense if you've seen the series, here is a pic.

If you bothered to read it you would see that is a deadly serious movie that just happens to be animated. It is not a cartoon, it is an animated movie, there is a difference.
