# I believe there is no such thing as 'good' or 'bad' music
Everyone should just be able to listen to what they like

okay, there *is* such a thing as uninspired, non-creative, overly commercial music, but my comment still stands

# Good, that's ok then
I've just never really 'liked' the Beatles music, although i do appreciate what they did for the Industry.
Then again, I know fuck all about 'good' music, just ask M3Essential

# I quite like the Beatles, but can fully sympathise with those who don't, since they were in many ways a bunch of awful self-indulgent hippies.
"Imagine", though, scores particularly low with me.

Imagine no ambitions
I wonder if you can
No room for individuals
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Melded in one lump...

Imagine is a vomit-inducing syrupy load of twaddle and sounds like a 17 year old emo wrote it.

# I believe there is such a thing as good and bad music
but nobody has hardly any clue which is which, including me.
And also of course it serves many different purposes and can be good or bad in different contexts.

# ^ this
'Death metal' and 'good music' should not be in the same sentence.

Unless you put a 'not!' at the end, in the style of popular 90s movie 'Wayne's World'

# for one minute there i doubted myself
but this is the stuff where the chap jams the mike as far into his mouth as he can and shouts into it, while the rest of the fellows try unsuccessfully to tune their instruments with the amp at full tilt.
so i'm glad i was right.
