# this on the other hand angers me
bloody Faulks
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:05, archived)
# wasn't his idea though
and don't think he's making all that much from it (compared to the contracts he has on his own books)
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:13, archived)
# hmm, maybe
books about james bond have written but there was no need to focus on it being written as fleming, it is madness. I like Faulks' work I do but Ian Fleming is he not.

*searches for pipe*

# In fairness Faulks only claimed to have gotten 80% Fleming
which is enough, imho.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:28, archived)
# you know that sounds like Faulks has taken the essence of Fleming
and incorporated him into his own DNA but only got 80% complete.

Or did I miss the joke?
It's been a long day and I've been asleep for most of it

# well ian flemings estate approached faulks and asked him if he'd do it
when he said yes faulks decided to approach the work in a similar way to that of fleming writing the book in about six weeks.

i see nothing wrong as this is an officially sanctioned novel to mark what would have been flemings 100th birthday.

# Hah

# Uhoh! :)
I just completed Twilight Princess. I fucking love Zelda games.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:06, archived)
# I have no desire to complete it
I love wind waker, but I've had TWP for about 8 months or so now and I've only just done the wind temple. Double hookshot is truly fantastic, though.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:07, archived)
# The Wind Waker is still my favourite. Even over Ocarina.
You're so close to the end though! Only a couple of bosses to go!
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:11, archived)
# bollocks!
ocarina of time is so much better than wind waker!
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:14, archived)
# DISAGREE.
*teabags*
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:16, archived)
# it's far too cartoony and childish for me
ocarina burnt my head out, therefore i love it.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:22, archived)
# I adore the cell shaded look of it. Aghhhhh it's just so gooooood.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:24, archived)
# agree with you there, smash
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:17, archived)
# Nothing beat some Winds Requiem and sailing :)
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:19, archived)
# I really like the sailing
but practically everyone I know finds it really boring

Then again, I like driving normally in GTA, just for kicks.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:23, archived)
# Yeah, I love the sailing too. I can doss around on that game doing shit all but the tiny insigificant side quests for hours.
I drive normally on Driv3r sometimes as well. Erp.

# In that case
try getting some fresh air once in a while.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:07, archived)
# Is pub air fresh?
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:11, archived)
# fresher
than the air around the doorway
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:12, archived)
# But that air is tastier?
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:14, archived)
# Nice one
ever play Link's Awakeing on the gameboy?

Lord knows how many hours i spent on that as a child.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:14, archived)
# I'm only young. I spent all my Gameboy playing days on Pokemon Red.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:16, archived)
# I had that too
was probably older than i should have been when i was playing it. Even played gold!

I was a late developer.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:17, archived)
# Haha! Yeah... I had Gold too...
and Silver, and Yellow.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:18, archived)
# heh, nice one.
Never finished it. Think it may have been the last game i ever bough, except for a 2nd hand GB camera for the weird beat maker.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:24, archived)
# Ahem!
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:30, archived)
# wow
you win!
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:32, archived)
# I had a lot of time on my hands as a child.
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:33, archived)
# Take that back!
It's very good indeed.

But woo to the pic!
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:07, archived)
# I'm waiting
for a signed copy someone promised me

May have to crumble and buy it anyway
(, Thu 29 May 2008, 15:09, archived)
