# Scanners was so awesome (when I wuz young)
still I hope twitter will never be a compo again.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:45, archived)
# is it just me
the twitter compo has unleashed some of the least inspired turd I have ever seen on b3ta, (pick random celebrity, of increasing obscurity, add nonsense into 140 characters),

thus proving my theory that anything related to twitter eventually sinks to zero

present entry exluded fresh *clicks*

# Its okay...
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:37, archived)
# To be COMPLETELY honest......
....I tried to watch it, but in my semi-drunken state (at the time) my brain couldn't handle the "vectorization" of it.
Although it was a good artistic idea, I thought it was un-necessary.

Edit:- ......That's why i could only watch 15 minutes of it before
switching it off.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:44, archived)
# if you only watched 15 minutes the reason for the rotoscoping won't have been obvious
try it again, its really worthwhile
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:48, archived)
# Ok.
First chance I get, I'll give it a second look.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:54, archived)
# yeah it was a bit hard to understand
the artistic thing about it was fine, visualizing drug addiction too

# I'm in the "it's okay" camp too

(, Wed 13 May 2009, 11:11, archived)
# Twitter itself is one smelly piece of unispired shit
so it's almost impossible to make something cool about it.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:06, archived)
# Life's what you make it.
Some people go to a music festival and see a bunch of bloody hippies, off their heads on drugs. Some people go to the same music festival and see cool groovers having a great time.

Meat/murder.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:08, archived)
# some people don't go to music festivals
and go to the garden centre instead

I appear to be making a phased transition from one to the other ... I FUCKING ROCK at either of them though...

# try having a music festival
in the middle of a city, then explain to the garden centre types why there are a load of hippies/groovers (depending on perspective) standing on the common outside their backgarden.

# OH MY GOD SPAM!
... looks good.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for Festivals this year - not going to be in the country while Glaso is on and my mate that I was going to go to the Dublin Electronic Arts Festival with is going to be a dad for the first time like 2 weeks before it's on... so he's not likely to want to make his ears bleed from techno

is b3ta big in Dublin? Any dirty dubbers on the board?
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:18, archived)
# thats a bum
the ireland festi is good Ive been told

# I was at DEAF last October and saw some of the best live music I've seen in ages
and, semi ironically given the name, I'm only just getting rid of the tinnitus.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:25, archived)
# lol, got a similar problem from bloc a couple of months back, that went wierd
Dour is good if you fancy going abroad and dont mind a complete lack of facilities or signs in english
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:29, archived)
# I'm supposed to be going to something in Malasia
but I'm slightly worried that a) it's a world music festival and b) it'll turn out to be a full moon party or something like that.

tbh - I think I'm going to try and get to DEAF anyway - even if I only go for one night and end up trudging the streets of Dublin until I can get a flight back in the morning... if it's anything like last year it'd be worth it.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:31, archived)
# curiously i have a nightmare
wherein I am in a plane that is crashing and have to parashute out, only to land in the midst of a never ending full moon party, surrounded by grinning dayglo trustafarians all spacked on acid and stomping dustily away to incredibly monontonous psytrance.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:40, archived)
# *shudders*
it's a mate of mine who lives out there... she's got a good taste in music, but it does extent to some dreadful 'world' stuff and I'm worried that I'm going to have to spend days surrounded by faux new age travellers
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:45, archived)
# noooo not another loss to the darkside
but this have given me ideas for shoppage
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:48, archived)

Just get some good acid and take your trip at home*

*May contain risk of psychosis, long-term brain damage and schitzophrenia**.

**But in a good way.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:24, archived)
# when I do finally drop acid
it will be in a field somewhere... then I'll have to spend ages looking on the ground trying to find it.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:33, archived)
# ooh, that looks fun
i may even have an excuse to be in cambridge around that time. i'll do my best to turn up and wee on something

#
twitter will should never have been a compo again.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 10:13, archived)
# it's had some great stuff
but the mundane entries have been extra-specially dull. i think saving us from mundane is what makes a good challenge- i loved the retro game one because even the mundane entries were pleasingly nostalgic. i think also that's why lolcats works: even if the joke's shit, you still have a cute kitten picture to look at

is it really an odd thing to say? :( I never really know for sure - I just say things.
