New Flags (This challenge is now closed)

Let's face it: the flags used by most countries are too old to represent them today - and it's time they were updated to reflect this. So design a new flag for an old country.

Sorry if this has been done, but couldnt be arsed to check... now off to get royally pissed for the Melbourne Cup (hope a horse wins this time).

Well if I was going to design the British flag...
It'd look like this.

Although I don't like the Northern Ireland bit, it looks dodgy to me. Partly just because it had to be so much smaller than the welsh dragon, but I didn't feel like I could really just leave it out... I suppose in terms of land mass, each flag takes up a (very roughly) appropriate amount of space...
