This is a normal post My cats have chips but have never been MoTed.
How old does a cat have to be before it has to do an MoT.
I know my dog would fail due to his exhaust system

This is a normal post My cat, Scum, has just passed his MOT
He did go a bit lacerating-talons-of-fury when they plugged in the diagnostic reader, mind.

This is a normal post Our cat was diagnosed with a loose bottom end and also with failing the compassion test
Best thing to do was to chop him in for a different model with a lower CaC score

This is a normal post The vets refused to give my cat his recent annual booster because four of them couldn't even get a towel over him.
Four people: That's one leg each. ffs.

This is a normal post Just checked my previous cars
Pleased to see that the last one is still running, with 115k on as of Sept last year and no advisories other than tyres.

Frankly though, I'm shocked to find that my first car was still on the road until December last year, although it sounds like it was on its last legs:

Reason(s) for failure
Parking brake: efficiency below requirements (3.7.B.7)
nearside Stop lamp not working (1.2.1b)
Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle excessive (7.3.D.3)
nearside front Tyre tread depth below requirements of 1.6mm (4.1.E.1)
Advisory notice item(s)
excess travel footbrake
offside front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
nearside door mirror missing

This is a normal post I sold my last car to a cunt.
I said to him "I know it needs some stuff doing. If you wait a week, I'll get a new MOT put on it."

Instead, he was being really pissy. I told him that if he wants, it can be sold as seen, and he can be responsible for any work.

He took me up on that. Below is the report from a month later.

Reason(s) for failure
nearside front Headlamp not working on main beam (1.7.5a)
offside front Windscreen wiper not operating over a large enough area to give an adequate view (8.2.1c)
offside front Anti-roll bar linkage has excessive play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)
Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle excessive (7.3.D.3)
Advisory notice item(s)
nearside front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
nearside rear Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
offside front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
