Tallinn is pretty amazing
I go to Tromso a fair bit with work and I love that as well. And San Diego pretty much single handedly makes up for the rest of California.

But probably Kenya/Tanzania for the sheer epic fucking hell nature of things.

Makes up for the rest of California?
California is fucking awesome. It's got EVERYTHING.

I thought someone would rise to that.
California is pretty good. As long as you raze SF, LA and Oakland to the fucking ground and remove every single cunting resident of the whole state, I'd live there.

I liked Los Angelese
I liked the people, a mixture of stupididy and happiness was quite refreshing.

LA is fucking horrible.
SF is so far up its own arse you can see teeth. And pretty much the entire population of the state are so false I'm amazed they aren't bra padding.

But some bits of it are quite pretty.

See I don't think they're actually that false, I think its just so rare to see someone act and talk to you like that
(in the uk) that you assume it's false.
(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:21, Reply)
I've spent more of my life in California
than anywhere else except the UK, and I strongly disagree.
(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:24, Reply)
I think it'd be amazing to live there.
Be a bit of a culture shock at first but I find it hard to imagine you wouldn't be a happier person for it in the end.
(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:24, Reply)
provided that you're happy with your life as a material sham
I'm sure it would be.

Have we not met.

You are talking to Barry, TMB.

(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:26, Reply)
sorry, yeah.

(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:27, Reply)
You are wrong, wrong, wrong.
LA's great. SF is great. Even Oakland is OK.

The rest of the state is brilliant. Mountains, desert, national parks, wine country, Pacific Ocean, theme parks etc etc.
(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:38, Reply)
I think you'll find it's 'freaking awesome' actually.

(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:14, Reply)
except money

(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:21, Reply)

I'm fairly sure it hasn't got Glasgow in it, as well.

(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:23, Reply)
I'd take Glasgow over Oakland in a heartbeat.

(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:26, Reply)
I'd take Glasgow over most places

I was hoping to go to Kenya next year with my son's scout expedition
PaedoLOLS.

But they've cancelled it due to lack of numbers. Bit of local charity work, couple of days on a game reserve, then climbing Mount Kenya. Gutted.

i liked the old wooden rollercoaster that is right on the seafront
it's really high, so you get fab views. and it all lights up at night.
(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:21, Reply)
There's only 2 places I've found in the US
that you could possibly pay me enough money to convince me to live there. San Diego and Portsmouth, NH.
(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:19, Reply)
i want to go to montana
i like the idea of being able to drive for hours without seeing another human being
(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:20, Reply)
You can do that on Gran Turismo

(, Thu 17 May 2012, 11:28, Reply)
Dunno why but I've never fancied going to the USA
Travelling East has always been my thing. I'd like to be convinced otherwise.
