b3ta - In Memoriam (Well not b3ta, b3tans, well, yeah)
Okay, I'm a rare poster on these shores but considering this was all spurred by a /board post about a /QOTWer, here we go:
Following www.b3ta.com/board/10836337
(Summary: Legendary /QOTW member disasterprone's sister was on b3ta asking for help to find his posts and stuff, we realise all we have is just links and quotes but no particular home for them)
I've just set this up (literally 5 minutes ago):
www.b3takit.co.uk/inmemoriam/
Work in progress and all that, but a post for disasterprone will be up within 24hrs.

Enzyme's organising a bash in memory of Disasterprone
In the calendar, 2nd March next year. I always liked his posts. I also read his blog (can't remember the url, sorry) showed how his life was 'different' to say the least. Helped me no end with some advice re restrictive employment covenants. Nice guy.

Tell you what, I'll be a bit more reckless on my drive home tonight
and I'll consider restarting smoking.
But only 'cause you said 'please' up there.

This will not end well.
By which I mean, 'this could be hilarious'.

I'm disappointed to note that he didn't follow the accepted protocol of deleting his account first.
Pretty rum do, if you ask me.

I have raised this with the mods.
It seems the general consensus is that we should sue his sister. Bit harsh, I thought.

Perhaps, but examples need to be made, Monto.
We can't have inconsiderate users just dying and leaving us with all their dull online history. That way anarchy lies.

It smacks of rudeness if you ask me.
I'm rather browned off about it etc.

Can we have a mention for the recently departed baldmonkey?
I doubt anybody actually misses him but he was part of the furniture. A bit like that flowery chair that your gran gives you when you go to university that smells of wee and has a wobbly foot.

Is it the chair or the gran that has a wobbly foot?
It goes without saying that it's the gran who smells of wee.
