Hope Not Hate is an excellent organisation.
I did some campaigning work for them at the last general election & council elections in Barking & Dagenham, against the BNP.
Got to meet one of my heroes - Billy Bragg, as a result, which was an added bonus to seeing the BNP lose all 11 council seats they had held in the borough.

I received a hand drawn birthday card from him a couple of years ago - which talked about my daughter being 'half english too'.

All this Politics thing is boring me now.
Had things through the door for the Lib Dems. What a bunch of drips.
Went past an array of houses in Manchester with labour flags up.

I was flummoxed. York is one of the whitest places in England, it's hardly a seething multicultural hellhole.
I still voted for them, mind.

It even had the episode of "The Magic Roundabout" when Dougle ate the blue sugar. Well trippy.

I've visited a knob today...
...Had a drink with Pooflake.
Never loathed a blood relative, or any relative for that matter.
Edit. Didn't like my mother much - didn't loathe her though.

About as well as can be expected.
I've driven about 500 miles in less than a week, I have a cold, and I've just sorted out funeral arrangements. Peachy.

Fortunately when I got back I crashed for nearly 3 hours, and then got a solid 13 hours kip later that night, which did me a power of good.

He's been ill for a while. Funeral's on Thursday. Loud shirts and odd socks are the order of the day so it's not going to be miserable!

My dad wasn't the type to be morose, thankfully.
The family have been raiding his wardrobe for suitably loud shirts. Thankfully I have plenty of my own. We're marching into the church to War of the Worlds and coming out to Fleetwood Mac's 'Don't Stop'. Then getting pissed. Should be a good day.

I had similar, we knew it was on the cards, but were given a fairly long time scale, got all of 3 days. Bit of a shock, made it harder, felt it was unfair.
