Also, if it's your workplace they should have a decent backup regime in place, meaning you will have lost 24 hours work not 6 months.
If it's your home computer, just imagine that I posted a massive image of Nelson from The Simpsons.

There are data recovery services out there, you know.
Just don't do anything else with the hard drive in the meantime or you could overwrite the bit they need. So no emptying your recycle bin of all that PTHC.
