Surely they worked out the price before he started?
I refuse to do 'cheap' websites now, I have a minimum price. If someone isn't willing to pay that, they'll be more hassle than they're worth; they're normally extremely demanding. I do freebies too, but they have to be on my terms.

I've had like £250/ 3 days work jobs, that are 10 times the hassle of a £1000/ 5-day job.

I assumed it would be too, I couldn't tell you why the buyer decided to try to renegotiate.

He should tell the buyer to get fucked, you wouldn't 'rengotiate' with a a cleaner/accountant/resturant.

yeah, but that's fine as you can find work at the price you want,
This guy sells almost nothing. And works bars ti pay bills.

Deffo, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
But a deal's a deal, if either party wasn't happy with the price to begin with, then they shouldn't have gone ahead. If the artist can't get the price he wants for his work, then he needs to look into doing it for a career - which is ovbously failing if he's behind a bar.
