I think all their national debt should be reevaluated and simplified,
as is the norm in international debt most countries Greece owes money too probably owe money to Greece which matures at different times, or was to different departments or for different pension pots, simplify it all, cancel bits and bobs off and renegotiate terms in good faith. Also if anyone bought greek debt for a percentage of the principal they shouldn't expect to get back 100%

Yeah. I know that they spent the money
but it does seem a bit cuntish to have an entire nation on it's knees for 20 or 30 years.

It's counter productive as well. Meaning the majority of institutions/companies that own the debt would do better to negotiate than have Greece go even more to the dogs.

If someone owed you £10,000 and they have £2,000 total assets, would it make sense to you to take all their assets?
So that you make them homeless and unable to work, or does it make sense to take 10% of their income until it gets paid off?
