If making coffee for guests,
stand in the kitchen for 5 minutes, making "prk, prk" noises, before serving up cups of instant.
Your guests will be impressed with your percolated coffee, and think you dead posh.

And also from the 90s
Ah.... remember that ad. Google is not helping me remember the brand though...

As it's not Anthony Head as one half of the Gold Blend couple,
nor Gareth Hunt making rude gestures at Andre Agassi, I doubt anyone but us care. Coffee advert nostalgi is very selective.

I do remember...
...jocular late-20th-century sketch-show stalwart Russ Abbot spoofing the advert on an episode of his Madhouse. He was in character as inept spy Basildon Bond, at home with a glamorous lady. He offers her a coffee, saunters into the kitchen and is immediately attacked by a henchmen who attempts to strangle him.

After a few seconds of coughing, gasping, struggling and spluttering, the lady calls out from the lounge "It's OK, I don't mind instant"

...And yet I still forget my parents' birthdays.

I had the name blue mountain
but that proves incorrect I think, maybe maxwellhouse thinks I... still nothing. I'll be honest, I only checked one link but that was enough for me to lose interest.
