The Shoulder of Mutton is 5 minutes walk from the train station.

Yes. Next door attached cottage is a guesthouse

clicky here, it's available for the weekend for £55 per night, and it sleeps four. I know the owner, but I'd say if you want it best to book early - the week before is already taken.

Alternatively, the Hairy Mound where last year's bash was has double and twin rooms for about the same price per night.
