It's a good call.
Vegetarian food is fine, but should never be mislabelled. I was once offered "a sausage" at a BBQ which turned out to not to be a sausage at all.
The vegans responsible looked all smugly at me and said something like "see? you can barely tell the difference!". I spat the offending mouthful at their sandals, and they're lucky that's all I did.

violently assaulted them with a jumbo saveloy.

It's true, there was a dangerously high concentration of them.
If a bomb had gone off in that garden they'd have had to stop publishing the Guardian.

Hypocritical bastards.
I bet if you did the same and gave them a "vegetarian sausage" loaded with delicious pork and said "see? you can barely tell the difference!" they'd get all uppity.

I like the idea behind
www.impossiblefoods.com but the potential for vegan smugness is terrifying.

A 'Meatball' without meat is understandably misleading.
But the word 'sausage' doesn't exactly guarantee a high meat (or even animal bits) content in the first place. It's like saying you can't have a vegetarian 'sandwich'.
But in French, obviously.

The word "sausage"...
Actually, it does. I believe that there's a regulation that specifies a minimum meat content in things sold as sausages - which is why the really cheap ones are sold as "bangers" or something like that: they're mainly rusk and eyelid.
If it's a European regulation, then it would apply to France, and even if it isn't, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar regulation there.
