This is a question Kids

Either you love 'em or you hate 'em. Or in the case of Fred West - both. Tell us your ankle-biter stories.

Young adults
I'm going to include 'young adults' under the banner of kids for a minute.

In the trafford centre the other day (yeah I know) I had the urge to grab all the teenagers and group them according to 'style'. It would be very easy:

Group 1 - Girls with ugg boots and the accompanying outfit, usually the same.
Group 2 - Girls in ballet pumps and the accompanying outfit and hairdo - long hair, occasionally bouffant/amy winehouse
Group 3 - Boys. Black 'tracksuit' and trainers. Hooded top. Short hair.
Group 4 - Goth/"emo" style.

Once assembled in a group I would then simply gesture at them all in a manner which would make them think "oh god we all look the same. I thought I was an individual. Maybe I should start thinking for myself for once and stop this conformist herd mentality that I appear to have sleepwalked into, learn to write using vowels, learn to read books, realise that I will never be famous or appear on reality television and just maybe the human race might survive past the next generation".

"Young adults" are shit. We were way cooler back in the day. And we didnt have R and fuckin B either which I firmly believe to be largely responsible for many crimes against humanity.

To be honest
Modern R'n'B is a crime against humanity.

Amen.
When I went to school at VCU it was always easy to spot the art students- they all had on dirty thrift-store clothes or things they had ripped carefully and mismatched as much as possible, they all had dirty and messed up or weirdly dyed hair, they all had piercings, most had tattoos, and they all kept an eye out to see who was watching them.

They were perhaps the most conservative and conformist group in the entire university.

I took some classes in the art building and stood out dramatically in my cargo shorts, tee shirts and sandals- and on the days when I wore a polo shirt and jeans they looked at me as though I were an alien.

Not an ounce of originality in the lot.

trousers
oh god chickenl, i forgot - the number 1 SHIT thing in the world. Trousers round your arse. My god. I'm actually worried for humanity - no girl is ever going to like that. They will never procreate. Life cannot be sustained if this continues.

We got stuck behind this 18 stone lad walking round the TC with his belt about an inch from the bottom of his arse, with DIRTY WHITE PANTS on full show, with his fat arse wobbling inside. I nearly vomited.

Lads - you look shit and everyone laughs at you if you do it.

Admittedly it is pretty disgusting and not in the slightest origianl and will never get them any type of sex

perhaps it's a type of darwinism?

Can we start an 'I hate R & B' group.
Can we, can we, can we, can we....pleeeeeeeeease.

I'd rather listen to Kenny and Dolly singing Islands in the stream for days on end.

R&B
^^
@ BGB
"Look what you've done! You've started Sir off!"

R and frickin B

One pretty, underdressed, nasally whining bint with a passable voice, terminally unable to use one pure note when she can ram forty-seven in the same space. Then we get to the male part. What the holy jamstranglingbastardfuck is HIS raison d'etre? Monotonally slurring through some "gangsta" bollocks while swaying, grabbing his crotch and waving his arm like a shit-flinging simian.

And don't get me started on "Fiddy cent". Just don't.

I vote we make a thread where anyone retarded enough to attempt to justify this assault on all that is music can do so.

Then we go round and sterilise them.

Vote for me!

I'm a nice guy really.

Were you cooler because
you liked Nirvana, or because you had those ridiculous enormous jeans?
(, Fri 18 Apr 2008, 16:57, closed)
We did have RnB...
That is rhythm and blues music, before the bastards stole our acronym for some horrific modern reinterpretation of 'music'
