Anyone want to ask me how I had my steak and then judge me?

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 19:53, Reply)
how did you have your steak?
I will try to keep an open mind
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 20:01, Reply)
I dun it in a makeshift Bain Marie using my slow cooker. Put it in some water on low for 30 mins still in it's pack.
Got it out dried it off seasoned and flash fried it. Came out medium rare.

do you have a thermometer to get close to 63 degrees c. slow cookers get quite hot, nearly 95 degrees c

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 20:10, Reply)
The low setting on mine is 69C and I was like fuck it close enough.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 20:11, Reply)
that is good, my low setting is still too high.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 21:42, Reply)
awesome
I just learned what a Bain Marie is. What did you season it with?
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 20:13, Reply)
just salt and pepper.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 20:16, Reply)
first, need to know the breed of cattle. then male or female, plus age at slaughter. then if it was grass fed. then where was it slaughtered.
Then was it dry hung and for how long. Then the cut.then the general cooking method, pan, oil and seasoning.Only then can I truly judge.

Edit Bollocks.
