pretty much
i was told the RS was a pointless waste of money, so we went for the s-line plus, 2 litre engine, leather interior, heated seats, blah blah usual stuff. i wasn't allowed to spend the extra money on it automatically puttings its ears back when you lock it though :(
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 10:23, Reply)
We can spend the extra ten grand that would have cost on a little runabout for you.

I have that option
As I am a forgetful fuckwit - always wondering 'did I lock the car'? - I use the fact that the ears are flat as a visual check that it is, in fact locked. Very useful as I live in a flat and can't be arsed to go downstairs to properly check
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 10:26, Reply)
i also wanted the electric seats
but i was consoled with the "storage pack" to put pockets on the back of them instead

(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:53, Reply)
In Apples eyes the % actually represents two extra zeros.

(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:55, Reply)
Stores, including Apple's own ones, typically only make 3% per iPad.
That's why you never see them discounted at any high rate.
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:58, Reply)
Pretty much all independant phone shops etc hate selling Apple stuff as there is no margin at all in it for them

(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 12:08, Reply)
Its not mate
that might be the advertised rate but when you are using cheap slave labour to make them the cost of an iphone to produce is well under £100, when you also add in that fact that compared to European and US manufacturers they flout many environmental rules then that's another cost saving,
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 12:10, Reply)
They'll announce the pricing properly on the 9th of March
But the sports one with basic band in 38mm (I think, nobody knows, the just said 'starting from') $350ish, which is the same price as the iPad Mini 2, which translates to about £260ish.

I'm going after the 'normal' one (rather than 'sports' or 'edition'), and I want either the Malinase Loop or Quilted Leather bands - so I've allowed myself £400 and hope I get change.

They reckon that the Edition one will be about $5000, but you've got to remember that the market-rate for the gold inside it alone is $1200.
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:53, Reply)
I don't think I want one but I quite like the idea for bicycle sat nav type stuff

(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:54, Reply)
Navigation on them is quite cool, it taps towards the left/right of your wrist as you come up to a turning, so you don't even have to look at it for that.
You'll need your iPhone on you at the same time, but it can stay in your pocket.
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:57, Reply)
$350 for a device you have to pair to an iPhone.
Fuck that. I want a smart watch that works without another device in my pocket. Its like those poor wankers that had to carry the battery for their phone in a separate case.

The market rate for the gold in it will be no where near $1200

I can't remember the last time I used a credit card
which is a bit silly, seeing as we've got one of those ones that pays cash back for doing your shopping.

We use them all the time for the clubcard points

I put everything through a credit card
more protection, improves credit rating and you get vouchers and stuff.
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 12:04, Reply)
I dread to think what my credit rating might be these days
seeing as I have no mortgage, no loans, and don't use credit cards.

Any money is worth having, I suppose, no matter how fewer.
It's only in the low three figures, though. I'm not going to go out and buy diamonds, put it that way.

It's the money she made from elderley people who are entitled to free scripts
but insist on paying something towards them anyway.
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:57, Reply)
As if ANYONE entitled to free scripts
has ever wanted to pay ANYTHING for ANYTHING.

pay 50p for a pack of ibuprofen? No thanks, I'll get my doctor to prescribe some and I'll get them free.
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:59, Reply)
I do that.
Medical Exemption Cert ftw!

Except the whole process (doctors appointment etc) probably cost the taxpayer about £50
FUCK YOU SOCIALISM
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 12:07, Reply)
Pharmacies get paid about nine quid for filling a prescription,
minus the patient contribution.
That means every free pack of paracetamol we give out costs the taxpayer huge amounts of money. It would be cheaper to just give them a box off the shop floor.

Not bad, thanks.
I can't be bothered today though. I might go and get some grub. Japanese Canteen as a Friday treat.

4 week payments used to drive me mental when i was a letting agent
12 calendar months in the year. so why, why, why do housing benefits pay in lots of 4 weeks? it means the tenant shows as being permanently in arrears and nothing balances and when you have a massive rent roll of 4000 tenants with about 800 on benefits it takes forever why councils why whyyyyyyyyy?
(, Fri 27 Feb 2015, 11:56, Reply)
Thirteen four-week blocks in a year
means that one month has two paydays in it. It's really quite weird.
