Good morning SSEX, you look lovely today, have you done something new with your hair?
I’ve just been car booting* and amongst other things I purchased 3 lps and 3 12” not a very haul to be honest, if they were selling taffies of Welshmen riding a goat I would have bought one to celebrate St. Davids day.

*not in the AL sense

(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 12:00, Reply)
I think the internet is killing car booting
people now check to see what shit is worth before they put it out and haggling becomes an arse ache

I stopped going when my local starting charging ebay prices
(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 12:09, Reply)
I spent £2.25 for 3 lps and 3 12"
Condition on all are near mint Discogs says I can get between £9 and £28.50 for one of the albums
(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 12:16, Reply)
Yeah, it's a bugger when people know what the shit they're selling is actually worth
I mean, how's a guy supposed to fleece a mug now?
(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 12:18, Reply)
I think sites like Gumtree will kill off car boot sales soon

(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 12:23, Reply)
Gumtree is no different to a local paper really. And shit. And for cunts.
Ebay has managed to exploit one of the most basic human desires: not having to talk to other people. By removing the requirement of awkward haggling, private transactions are now so much more civilised.

sure, if your an autist

(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 12:58, Reply)
Ugh, imagine having to deal with the little people in order to sell your goods.
You might have some dreadful chav turn up on your doorstep.

My ex brother-in-law* used to get really incensed at the antiques shows on the TV
He was a serial conner of old ladies - he'd get tea sets, knick knacks and furniture at ludicrously low prices and sell it on. Once the TV shows started and his potential victims cottoned on he had to pay proper prices.

*Ex on two counts - I'm now divorced and he topped himself

What a despicable human being.
I hope he's burning in hell for his crimes.

you see why people think he's a bit dull now?
I mean I don't, I wouldn't say that because I don't want to go back on 2.0, but yeah, form your own opinion.
(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 14:38, Reply)
The hot water bottle explanation made me laugh.

Rob da bank set up the record label 'Sunday Best' to try and promote dj's and live acts in tea rooms rather than clubs.
The older I get the better I think this idea is.

(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 17:19, Reply)
would seem a difficult task to be a shagger and a wanker.

(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 17:52, Reply)
Not really
There'll be times that due to bad weather, lambing season or perhaps a restraining tag our friend may be forced to resort to self-pollution with copies of sheep monthly.
(, Sun 1 Mar 2015, 17:58, Reply)
