I need your help with the V*** thing
CR3 is not around so I've got no coder to help with the old posts.

Can you please edit your old posts to remove references to the band.

I am completely serious. I really need this to go away.

Literally the only alternative I have is to close down /talk for a week until CR3 comes back and can code round it.

Please help me on this.

CR3 also wrote some code to make it look like V*** but it doesn't stop the search displaying all the lovely libel and is on hols so can't do any more.

yes - basically members of /talk have libeled this band
the bands representatives have asked for the libel to be removed and I have to comply because otherwise I might as well be making these accusations myself, loudly, out side their office whilst masturbating.

Removing it on request is called post moderation and isn't really enshrined in law but being seen to do the obviously right thing will both likely calm down the laywers and could be part of a strong defence should the legal threats be taken to court.

But mostly I just want this to go away - I'm literally trying to work on another job and sitting here and hand editing peoples posts is using my time that I actually need for other things.
