I may have been living under a hedge for 34 years but
Has anyone seen THX-1138? Never heard of it but saw it in the shop for eight squid. Looked brill.

er, it's what George Lucas made before Star Wars
It's why all the star wars films have robots and references to thx 1138 in them

You know those days when you get an early morning phone call summoning you to b3ta towers and you have no idea what the Führer has in store for you until you get there?
It was a bit like that. We spent most of the time playing on his new trampoline :)

Yes, Virgin Megastore became Zavvi.
HMV is still alive, offering products at wildly variable prices.

It's quite interesting for its time
but you'll find it dated. Worth having in a collection I suppose but not something I expect you would watch over much.

Yeah I had a feeling it would be more in the seminal genre
not for everyone's tastes.

Its pretty good.
Quite bleak, a bit flawed, genuinely odd and strange (It drops you straight into its world with no real explanations) and you can't help but wish that Lucas would have carried on in a similar style. Worth watching, anyway.

Did you know that Swampy appeared in 2000AD?
He was protesting a Spaceport being built and by digging tunnels. They just sealed him in with concrete and made him part of the foundations.
I read recently he's now living with his partener and three kids in a yurt in Wales.

He's passionate about animation, to the point of mania at times. Ren and Stimpy (at least the season he produced) was excellent.
