This is a normal post mathcore?
ffs is there even more of this shit now? speedcore, breakcore, deathcore... why don't these cunts just fuck off.

If I have to listen to another tosspot wanker bang on about a hundred different genres of music and their nuances even though they all sound just as shit...

hate modern music snobs, read some fucking Kant if you want to get intellectual and feel superior.

This is a normal post I should imagine the majority of the generation before you, listening to your generation's music
probably sounded just as bewildered & upset as you do now.
(, Fri 11 Jan 2013, 23:48, , Reply)
This is a normal post I don't listen to my generation's music either.
so fair play to them.

edit: anyway, this is my generation's music. how old do you think I am? I just happen to think it's fucking rubbish.

This is a normal post 82, with a bladder problem?
[edit] I can't see the point in getting so het up. For the 90% pretentious, artless bilge (that this is, IMHO) you get 10% amazing ground breaking new ideas, which is more than a fair trade.

I didn't mind that, but it amuses me how many devices its taken from Drum & Bass considering how piously anti-dance music hardcore metal freaks are (if they still are).

This is a normal post some are pious
and some are still freaks, and you're so right on this one. I dont care what the hell class it is but some people really do. In essence its the same snobbery which exists in the visual art world: cubism, pointillism, jism etc. Its all wank in the end. The only point which matters is whether you like it or not and most things will divide into a straightforward yes/no.

This is a normal post Not all of them
I'm all about proper horrid dissonant extreme metal(Portal? Mmmm) but I bloody love DnB. The Algorithm can fuck off though.

This is a normal post I always thought they weren't that anti
it was just Friday night Radio 1 dance they don't like. The drummer from Pitchshifter was the live drummer for Prodigy for example.

This is a normal post Mathcore?
No.

It's some pro-tooled dubstep nonsense, nothing more. I know I'm going to the brass ring straight away, but I'm going to invoke the Dillinger Escape Plan here. Like them or not (I don't particularly, as it happens) but at least I know that was four or five guys in a room learning and putting human effort into what they were doing, live, with human players. Cutting stuff up in pro-tools and calling it 'math' is like calling a mixtape 'your album'.

This is a normal post yes
I mean, I've listened to various forms of splitter/terror/noise/break (loli could be elaborate joke after all) -core (that electronic kind) and this is definitely nearer them than proper hardcore (punk).

This is a normal post Agreed, not mathcore...
And you're right about the dillinger escape plan, Not really my kinda music but have seen them live and they were Really really good.
