Great film
will never look at potpourri the same way again
Ben was responsible for one of the most terrifying B2ta newsletter links ever. Now broken thankfully (although a small part of me want's to see it again)
Here is what the ginger one said at the time
" > Most obscene animation ever <
Ben Wheatley sent us this animation a couple
of weeks ago. We managed 15 seconds before
going, "I don't want to see dancing cocks
and meaty vulvas pulsating to a drum'n'bass
remix of Ohio Express's 1968 hit, 'Yummy,
Yummy, Yummy, I got love in my tummy.'"
Then Ben turned up at B3ta HQ and
threatened to kill us and use our flayed
flesh to create a new animation. WARNING:
this is freaky, not safe for work and
frankly the work of a serial killer
playing with his food.

I volunteer at Crich tramway
In the workshops. We think it's hilarious. Especially after one of our older volunteers wives, a woman in her 60's, emailed everyone when it was on TV, and urged us to watch it. She did not expect to see the film she saw.
Every so often, someone will ask why we aren't selling pot pourri or knitting patterns for knickers in the gift shop.

Finally sat down and watched Sightseers last night, purely as a result of this thread.
I was strangely disengaged from the whole thing, which is the first time I've had that experience with a Ben Wheatley film. There were parts that grabbed my attention, but I can't see me rewatching it as I have with A Field In England for example.

I did wonder
but came to the conclusion that it was real. I don't think you'd be able to convincingly model the movement of that sapling it hits on the way through without a great deal of effort. The strike on the ground was a very low angle, and the door was heavily deformed by the initial blast, so I could understand why it wouldn't tumble as a result.
