Saying Tangfastics are the best Haribo is like saying that prostate cancer is one of the best cancers.
Sure it might not kill you as fast as the other cancers and you might even survive it completely but I'd rather not have it at all thank you.

I'm having a good time on the beers right now, but the Doris is due home in an hour and she's totally going to piss on my parade for drinking during the week. I need to paint the plinth and might get a car painter to do the top plate. If I'm doing that I might as well do the bearings on the motor and spindle.
I've got a Jelco tonearm to fit to it as the old one was shite and saggy and too cumbersome for my shure cartridge.

Mine's an L70.
Everything's original except the cartridge and the wiring. It just needed a bit of grease. Even the wheel rubber was still good. Not bad for something that had spent thirty years in an attic.

I was just going to do the plynth as that was tatty, but I kept thinking 'while I'm at it'.

In my teaching days I worked at various companies
and one firm bought products from another, and I worked from both. When one guy found that out, he asked me if I knew a certain sales girl. Apparently she sealed the deal for a multi-year software contract with this company by dressing up in a tennis outfit and allowing the company's accountants to do a mixed doubles on her in her own apartment one night. I could never look at her the same way after that.
