Imagine trying to build a garden wall
So you have a meeting to discuss how deep the foundations should be, and you outline who will dig, and how the digging will be monitored, and specify who will check the digging will be done, and what the criteria will be for digging to be declared "done".
If digging takes a day, you schedule a 10 minute meeting at 11am and 2pm where everyone downs tools and reports in what they're doing, what problems they've had, and what is coming up. That's everyone, not just the bloke with the shovel.
Then repeat the whole tedious process for pouring in the concrete. And again for building the brick piers. Then again for running the first course of bricks...

yet now there are 50% more people which means even more tax money coming in, yet you need a degree that costs an arm and a leg in order to qualify for minimum wage to pay the rent on a house you'll never own. Makes no sense to me.

Hello Windy.
One of my mates made a prize knob of himself last night.
When I got in the pub he was drinking with a mutual acquaintance. Anyway as he got more pissed it transpired he'd tried to invite her to the pictures earlier in the week for Saturday and she'd said she was busy and scheduled him for next week instead. He was obviously a bit miffed at her being there despite being supposedly busy. Towards the end of the night he clearly said something unpleasant to her 'cos she went mental at him. She also said 'I think you've had too much to drink, and will wake up tomorrow and feel awful about what you've said'.
This sounds like schoolyard behavior but they're both in their late 40's ffs.

Neither I think.
She's divorced/separated and I think her ex ended up having the kids for an extra night at short notice. So she went to the pub. All fairly reasonable.
My mate's a little odd. He grew up in orphanages and it made him hyper-competitive as well as gobbing off at being brilliant at everything he will occasionally say things that would get a normal person a punch in the face for. I don't think he's autistic, as he's quite sociable but every now and then he'll say something really offensive to someone 'cos he has no mental filter.

His case is odd because he possesses Stewart-lee levels of metta self-awareness at times.
Other times, like this he doesn't. He apparently once bought a tape machine to a pub pool tournament so when he got to the final (which he did, he's brilliant at pool) he could walk on to Chesney Hawk's I am the One and Only.

The song is arranged as the taxi driver singing the lyrics, interspersed with the voice of the taxi controller. The taxi controller had a distinctive West Midlands accent in the original release.
However the version usually appearing on compilation albums etc., features the taxi controller with a mid-Atlantic accent, a change of address to 83 Brook Terrace, with the taxi driver being called 'Ralph'.
