Dave Borthwick, one of the creators of The Secret Life of Tom Thumb, died earlier this week.
Info here. He was working on the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers film.
It's not been a good couple of weeks for British animators.

*back in a few.. over at ebay*
hmmmm. *nontrustometer fluctuating* It almost looks like they intentionally dumped dust all over it.(then had a cat walk all over it)
but it is Nevada so i guess it would get a lot of dusty sand blown in the garage. and the interior has a lot of wear for a vette that was only driven for 7 years. but all that said, restored it will just be a thing of beauty. off to check lottery tickets....

i disagree,
garaged it should be OK if it wasn't a rust bucket to start with. here in florida it is far more humid combined with salt air and i've had little to no issues with rust on my project cars as long as they are garaged.
Sundae, i say make a plan for next summer it's wonderfully good fun to tinker with cars. :)

It is not a 'classic',
But is same age as me (old). The door of the garage is nailed shut but through the window it looks ok still.

To my knowledge one of only two in the UK, and only mine has matching numbers of engine/body/colour. I'm not going to confirm the year because it was born when I was, and it is in better shape.

Question, what are the road tax rules on that? i remember reading on a car forum a few years back that in some cases you can apply to be road tax exempt?

It is tax exempt
But you still have to get and display a tax disc that states: 'Tax Exempt', which is pretty stupid.

It was great fun to drive
Very fast, but you had to book corners in advance. You'd turn the wheel and eventually it would say: "Oh all right then, if you must" and start to turn. The fastest I went was 110 mph, and it had plenty more, but it was like being on a ship in an Atlantic storm! Never again.
It would have a Porsche off the traffic lights though no problem. And, boy, did I! :D

a lovely car with some serious horsepower to back it up!
so true what you say about corners though, its a true land yacht... in the US you rarely need to turn, (so that is not needed as a feature, haha) and if you do you have miles to do it in. ;)
a couple of years back a friend from the UK and i went on a road trip from here to NY, he was amazed that we have no corners or even bends on our highways.

what amazes me is that people live with this sort of thing for years
i know some countrys have expensive health care
or people are scared of getting things done at there local treatment room, but why let some thing as simple as this grow for so long that it needs youtube to sway people in to getting it sorted?
there was a differant one with intestinal worms being removed but i thought that might have been a little over the top even for this place

Does exactly what it says in the tin. Hey - you know what, that would make quite a good slogan for a range of DIY products.
On a scale of 0-rofl, I'd give it a mildly diverting 2.2

They should all be punished a lot more severely than merely shaming them on some website.
I want names and addresses, i'll make sure they don't get up to anymore cunting around.

Hmmm. Software image stabilisation.
Kind of a cheat really.
It keeps the face centred in frame, but also keeps it the same size if the cam is moved closer to or further from the 'subject', or even around them a little. Its this that makes it look like an LSD trip.
I didn't know YT started doing it.

Is it one of those meaningful coincidences
That the site owner's name happens to be 'Glasscock' and is prominently displayed throughout?
