interesting how the safe search filter (on my browser anyway) is temporarily bypassed; seems only to work for low numbers... *ponders*
(, Sat 9 Feb 2013, 19:40, Reply)
The use of numbers and hyphens in the search causes google to find time markers for videos.
(Could be complete bollocks, may or may not be true, results may vary)
(, Sat 9 Feb 2013, 20:20, Reply)
It's used for filtering searches, so I use it in youtube if I'm looking up the original of a song and don't want all the cover videos clogging up the search by putting in "song x by band y -cover".
So I think you might be searching for anything without those terms

This 15 year old kid used google and wikipedia to develop a test for pancreatic, ovarian and lung cancer that is 168 x faster, 26,000 x cheaper and 400 x more sensitive than current methods of detection.

For those that have inquired about my long absence from /links, It is due to illness. The long and short of things is I have stage 3 liver disease (I'm more orange than the Tango man) and am so weak I spend much of my days in bed trying to keep my mood up a bit and waiting for a donor. I also (lucky me) have rotting leg bones, so I've lost the ability to walk and am in constant high pain - yet again, my luck shows through, as I'm allergic to most pain killers. All in all, I'm down by 9stone and a bit, so it's a hell of a diet plan, though I wouldn't recommend it. I'm due to have most of both femurs (big leg bones for the uninitiated) replaced next Thursday very soon - allergic for anaesthetic too, so it's a high risk surgery, so wish me well.
I hope I can get the spare parts I need, get off of disability, and return to a rapey stabby way of life - for now I'm conserving my energies. At least I have the newsletter to enjoy.
Feel free to share the above with whomever you please (except the local priest) - I don't want to come off looking for pity. I'm not - I just want my life back
Stay in touch - feel free to email me at pcmehanic@mypcmechanic......com (that can be sent around to any of the regulars who want to take the piss
