*Old fart alert*
Following on from several links board threads regarding 'Celebrity DJs' and my general 'Meh' or 'WTF'ness about them - could someone please explain to me the talent that these people have? As far as I can see they have a certain sense of rhythm and... well that's about it. They play other peole's music in a different order and mix like-keyed and time-signatured stuff together. If anyone can explain this phenomenon to me I'd appreciate it.

Alt: I dunno - plans for your evening meal?

Bored of that thread now.

Grown up thread.
Why isn't /OT as good as it used to be? What's with all the bitchiness?

Have we all seen this hilarious news story?

Alt: Lunch or something. I really couldn't give a fuck what any of you not-on-a-diet bastards are eating, but I believe it's customary to constantly beaker about food.

I generally don't like pictures at the top of my page
So I'm going to do a bbc News link thread.

It also involves SCIENCE www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-17440136

Alt Question: Celeb sex mixtapes choose celebs to be in your dream sex tape, location/lighting/which Kenny G song should be on the "decks"

I've changed my mind, I'm bored of the arguing now
Are you argumentative or do you look to be the "bigger person" and capitulate? Have you argued strongly then realised that you are worng but continued arguing to save face?

Hello children
I don't use twitter but someone sent me a link to this Texan bible bashing CUNT called Chet walken (he looks like great troll fodder: walken4GOP is his name and yeee-har, lovin jesus and hatin on non white non christians sure is his game. How very Christian of him). He has been saying that we should all be thanking jesus NOT the medics for saving muamba, who isn't worth saving cos he's black btw, and then goes on and on about how America should have let hitler have Britain and how all animals (by which the observant may have guessed that he means anyone black) should get the blue fuck out of the glorious beauty of the USA... So, question. What can be said to someone so horrifically ignorant?

favstar.fm/users/Walken4GOP (prob nsfw as his comments are pretty fucking nasty)

Alt: would you tweet it to him?

Alt alt: what's the first thing you'll do when you get to work this morning?

to all those who have found my antics irritating today (on indeed any other). For those who have gazzed me their congratulaions, I bow to you.

Q: Where is Personality Horse?

Alt: What did you want to be when you grew up? My uncle wanted to be a horse. I wanted to be a Viking, I think.

Something old, something new...
On Saturday night I had a curry containing a vegetable I had never heard of before, tinda - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinda
It was very nice. When did you last try something new*? Did you enjoy it? Or are you the sort of unadventurous person who knows what they likes and won't try anything new?

Alt: I ordered a ticket to I'll be Your Mirror on Friday - www.atpfestival.com/events/ibymlondon2012.php - where I will see, amongst others Slayer and Melvins. Reliving my teenage years here. How do you like to relive your youth?

*My mum is nothing new to any of you. I know you have all been there.

It's a beautiful, sunny morning here in the arse end of London.
What joys does this week hold for you?

Alt: What misery does this week hold for you?

I saw with appalled disgust (admittedly my default setting) that some filthy northern peasant has graffitied Clifford's Tower in York. I like graffiti on the whole and as a method of unregulated communication its pedigree goes back at least to Roman times, where it can be seen in Pompeii. However in this instance the cunt has written his Twitter address in red paint on a national monument. What a fucking wanker, eh?

This is a very sad state of affairs, if you ask me.

Book Thread !
I just finished reading Micro written by Michael Chriton, I've read most of his books, he rocks. Micro is a good book.

I fancy something with myhtical creatures in a modern setting, but not american goods.

Jacket Potatoes are so fucking nice, I wish I didn't neglette them, I'm going to buy a bag of jacketing potatos today.

Which - no witch.
On which side do you hold your witches hand? I can only stick to a right hand left hand collaboration. Anything else feels odd.

I would like to state, for the record, that my only involvement in CQ's stepping was circumstantial.
I didn't gaz any mods, I didn't report him, I had no direct part in it whatsoever.

Any statements to the contrary are falsehoods and gossip.

I have no mod powers, I don't believe in reporting people or putting people on ignore. We all have just as much right to post on here as each other, even those of us like me who have never donated and don't plan to.

If CQ's day/evening was spoiled by not being able to take part, then I'm sorry about that. But I had no say in it, I didn't request or recommend the stepping.

That's all.

I decided to try the indian around the corner from me, and oh man, it's fucking good. I got
- Tandoori Mixed Grill (smaller than what I thought)
- 2x Mint Sauces (proper sized ones ! I only need 1)
- Ditto of Onion Salads
- 1 mango chutney (proper sized pot ! oh man !)
- 4x poppadoms
- 2x Pashwari naans (I thought the grill would be bigger so I got two, for breakfast tomo)
- Onion barggy (HUGE, 4 of them.

I'm going to be working all weekend now, but it's worth the brownie points. I'm pretty much the only one who can do it 'cus it's exactly where my skill-sets are.

I started to watch Game Of Throans, I thought I'd hate it but I'm actually liking it. Awake and Alchatraz and The Office are also really good.

Fancy a roll in the hay?

A New Fad...for anyone who's still about
I've noticed a few people talking on t'interweb about some new thing called "Pinterest." Far from being comparisons of various objects with a famous playwright, it appears, as far as I can see, to be a great big online scrapbook where you just have a massive page of crap to tell people what you're interested in.

So my questions are several:
1. Hasn't this been done? Don't people already do this anyway on facebook and twitter and tumblr and lastfm and spotify and so forth? Why, therefore, is this gathering attention and headlines?

2. Do you believe the rumours that they have a privacy policy that allows their head programmer to install secret cameras in your home and watch you on the toilet?

3. Does the whole concept seem "fucking bent?"
