What Not To Say To An Apple Customer....
Worth scrolling to the 'Things Not To Say'. When our Macs go apeshit they tend to get described in many colourful ways.
'My hard drive has been bummed'
'Someone's given it Aids'
'Retarded chinese built crap'
'Stupid overpriced cock processor'

The trouble with disabling/removing Java is so much stuff runs on it that
a lot of non-tech people will whine that "the internet isn't working". It's fine for them in the know, but just try explaining this to the people who are end users who aren't tech aware. Cue raised eyebrows and bored expressions.
Good linkage though, and I'm now java free.

A good point...
...though I find myself rarely using Java anywhere on the interwebz these days. Fair point that less techie people may get confused and start mashing keys, grunting, and eventually urinate over their desktops in frustration because their chat room broke. Rather that than some nasty 0-day virus eating your PC alive...

I've been Java free at home for well over a year.
I got infected via a Java exploit embedded within an advert on a trusted website (don't know which as I had several tabs open as always at the time). Took me the thick end of a week to fully eradicate the bastard thing. Java had been silently failing to update for a couple of revisions so the hole was well known by this point.
I'm sure it has its uses, but I genuinely haven't missed it. I strongly recommend you uninstall it and see if you do.

But why would you want to have a known security risk laying around if it's not in use? If you just disable it you leave yourself open to something or someone reenabling it without your knowledge.

I think Windows 7 and the newest OSX
no longer ship with Java anyway due to it's problems. Most people with a newish PC / MAC may not even have it installed. Even so, it's just a quick trip to the control panel to rid yourself of it.

very noble cause just carried badly and done the completely fucking wrong way
nothing wrong in giving the government back to the people . if you are going to do that then there are a few things to get right first.
1. dont kill the president , it will act as a rally call
2. make sure the people want the control of the government
3. dont let an american plan it

Gorgeous singer deals with caterpillar dropping on her mic mid-song and man dancing like an epileptic.
And she has, errr, large tracts of land.

You really should hire a professional to direct these music videos.
That was a pretty good performance :) Though I think Sheriff Spaz had the right idea; being a one man audience is difficult.

Here endeth the lesson.

True enough, true enough
This isn't to underestimate the Normans, who had the title of 'Bad ass motherfuckers' of Europe and part of Asia for a good while before the conquest, and obviously for a good while after. I do take umbridge with the 'English' taking the blame for the subjugation of the other nations of our isles though, if theres been anyone under the cosh of the Normans for the longest, its the people of England ;) ...Would have been much better under Hardrada (as you can tell from my username) Still not over the harrying of the north (did not involve strip billiards)

but weren't the normans
vikings who had settled in normandy (hence the "bad ass motherfuckers" reputation) - the word "normans" literally meaning norse-men
