The Sci-Fi Boys (2006)
Legendary all-stars of cinema bring to life the evolution of science-fiction and special effects films from the wild and funny days of B-movies to blockbusters that have captured the world's imagination. This is the story of the Sci-Fi Boys, who started out as kids making amateur movies inspired by Forrest J Ackerman's FAMOUS MONSTERS magazine and grew up to take Hollywood by storm, inventing the art and technology for filming anything the mind can dream

the object on the spinny thing is a jewel cut glass box with four sides , a bottom and surprisingly a top that also doubles as an opoening to allow the owner to put small objects inside the item and have them on a rotating display *

How To Introduce A Child To Cultural And Artistic Works From Around The Globe
Step 1: Exposure to non-British culture is educational, therefore any films from overseas that are not a cartoon, and most of those that are, should fall into Schools programming, to be shown between 10am and 3pm. This includes programmes from the colonies, e.g. Fiji, Rhodesia, Wales.
Step 2: Viewing should be age-related - a young girl herding goats in the Tirol is suitable for all, but should breeding be mentioned the recommended age-group would be 10 or over.
Step 3: Visuals. Any films from overseas should be prefaced with an unfocussed spinning jewel box, representing the dynamic yet unreachable riches of the Empire, with a black background positioning it in the hands of Death. NB: this will be sold to Australia and Canada.
Step 4: Sound. The theme music should instill in children - of all ages - an underlying sense of dread*. This will allow the films of other cultures to be viewed as intended.
*Unease and intense worry are acceptable substitutes.

Here is a whinging Scottish cat.
"Alex Salmond and his ministers met Rupert Murdoch and his executives no fewer than 37 times between May 2007, when Salmond became first minister, and March 2014. That is just over once every two months- far more than with any other newspaper proprietor or media company.
Salmond had to disclose to the Levenson inquiry that he met Murdoch or his executives 24 times between 2007 and August 2011- not to mention offering Murdoch tickets to the Ryder Cup golf and the theatre. Since the phone-hacking scandal, the love-in has continued unabated: Salmond has reported on the Scottish government website that he and his ministers have met Murdoch and his executives a further 13 times between August 2011 and March 2014. Conveniently, there has been no disclosure since March, which means Salmond has not had to detail his meeting with Murdoch in New York in April- as well as a favourable interview with the editor or the Wall Street Journal (owned by Murdoch) during the same trip.
News of Salmond's meeting with Murdoch only emerged after the Scottish newspaper Sunday Post reported it, forcing the reluctant Salmond's office to confirm it. Murdoch has been less coy, issuing wildly excited tweets about the prospect of a "huge black eye for whole political establishment , especially Cameron and Miliband", and flying into Scotland last weekend with son Lachlan to visit their family's Scottish ancestral haunts. Never mind offers of golf and theatre tickets: what favours can Murdoch expect from Salmond in the future?"

Ok, but if this going to tally with my overriding memory of K, it's going to need an unnecessarily long walk home through a night time suburban neighbourhood, where there are foxes everywhere, I mean literally hundreds of furtive foxes everywhere. I hope this helps.
