The slo-mo stuff is interesting, but I could barely make out what that bloke was saying. It sounded like they got the most comprehensible short sentences and edited them together in staccato.

Yes. Fuck. This.
I used to commute into London until about 2 years ago, and my journey enjoyed a level of luxury that not many people get (namely, a seat). When I moved in with my ladyshape, my commute became a bit of a logistical nightmare (3 changes of train and about 90 minutes door to door) so I learnt to ride a motorbike. Never looked back. Journey takes 30 minutes, costs a fifth of the cost of rail travel and means I can come and go as I please on my own. Still get a seat too.
EDIT: What happened to your eyes?

I used to ride a motorcycle, but after unrelated back surgery I had the fear about going into an emergency room and doctors poking about without the benefit of knowing what was wrong with me ahead of time.
In the states, people keep forcing mass transit where there is simply no population density. They levy a higher tax on gasoline to pay for it. It always comes out 50% higher than originally estimated; the ridership (due to low population density) never meets the projections and when you see the real costs, you could have bought every rider a new car and paid for gas for 10 years for the amount of money spent. Then, because they don't have the riders, they decide to penalize car drivers through wheelage taxes and higher "transit" taxes on gasoline. And the level of crime (at least in my city) is astonishing.
I was joking about the eyes (read: trying to make a joke).

This is pretty much like the bus I take from work in a daily basis
If it doesn't just pass by because it's fucking overloaded, I'm generally the last person to get in before the first wave of passengers start to leave, so I generally travel the first 1/3 of my way with my arse pressed against the door.
I change buses along with the second wave, and my other bus gets just as crowded. Fortunately I take it when it's pretty empty so I can sit in my way home

I've got to say that I don't mind Russell Brand.
But his audience here spoil everything. Not only by their "bully's mate" style of giggling at every time Brand makes light of something, but because Brand does it specifically for them. He's come across really well in one-on-one interviews and his early pod-casts used to have me in stitches. In this sort of situation, though, he doesn't do himself any favours.

I have to agree.
He has the ability to be as good as someone like Louis Theroux in approaching difficult people with friendliness. However, he is just playing to the crowd here.
Can't help but feel the main reason the radio shows worked were because of Matt Morgan being in a position to cut him down to size when the ego took over.

Yeah, his two side-kicks on the podcast (one was Matt Morgan, I can't remember the other)...
...were good at keeping him in check and able to make Brand laugh as well. They certainly weren't your typical 'ego cronies' like Chrises Evans and Moyles were compelled to have surrounding them at all times.
