Oh my god, he actually picked up the glass. What an utter idiot.
When I was at school a kid stole a big lump of either sodium or potassium from the chemistry lab. He decided to fill a sink with hot water and chucked it in. After the explosion the quick thinking of another kid to stick his face under a tap of cold running water apparently saved his sight.

Sydney to London on a Wing and a Prayer
I made this!
Hey guys, I just made this travel film with a chap called Nathan Millward. He was living in Sydney but had his visa extension denied, was given 3 days to exit the country and his relationship with his girlfriend fell apart.. Instead of flying back, he jumped on his 105cc scooter and rode the whole way back to England on a Forest Gump'esq search for the end of the road.... 'ave a watch!

refer nice reference
For starters, Apple subcontracts manufacturing, so it has no factories in China. All I've read on the matter indicates that their subcontractors are required to have better working standards than the norm in China. Also, other companies use the same subcontractors - no-one's on their case, are they?
So put up or shut up.

True or not and regardless of Apple
The subcontract thing does not wash. It didn't for BP when their subcontractor filled up the Gulf of Mexico with oil. BP were responsible for making sure that proper safety procedures were being followed. Asking your subcontractor to treat the locals well and then doing nothing to check this or then putting ridiculous production targets in place which you know will mean they will have to take short cuts or abuse the staff is not acceptable

See at 4:16 how the rim is way out of round?
That's a problem. The brakes won't even work safely. By the time they get something that isn't a liability nightmare, it's going to weigh a ton.

I was just thinking, 'What if you hit a pothole on that?'
And how does the inner channel of the rim (the bit the motor touches) stay clear of water/dirt? I hate to be negative on new ideas and obviously earnest inventors, but this is a solution in search of a non-existent problem. We already have motorised bicycles for people who want them.

I'd want it to use regenerative braking as well
The other issue with the design is the unsprung weight. Despite the show-off wheelie-ing the bike, the battery and the motor gubbins are going to be much heavier than a normal wheel, so it will be a bastard to ride on a bumpy surface.

I think it needs more rollers
Lots of rollers so you can then get rid of the rim and just have the tyre run about the rollers.
Maybe two large wheels of this arrangement side by side. You can steer by braking on one side.
Then you could enclose the rider in some heavy steel sheeting.
Maybe a gun turret on the top for extra protection...
Tank!
