I went to a baseball game at Fenway Park (Boston Red Sox) a few years ago.
Given that it's one of the few remaining 'old' stadiums with some charm, it still didn't make up for the utter lack of anything resembling a sport, and the atmosphere created by the pisspoor supporters (whose chants were literally as banal as "Let's go, Red Sox" *clap, clap, clap-clap-clap* on repeat). They all relapsed into a sort of catatonic dribbling state until the invisible bloke on a keyboard played something, and then they all gave a cheer or something. Needs more darts and crisp packets filled with piss.

I too have suffered an american rounders game and also a handegg game and found them both to be the dullest "sport" I have ever seen.
At the rounders game I spent 3 hours playing Tekken in the arcade I found in the stadium.
I think the sports reflect the country as a whole - bland, over hyped, shit.

I find it a little disturbing that
a film like Fury Road is held up as the best film that's come out for ages.
It says a lot about the state of the film industry at the moment, and the general public.
I was all up for a bit of fun, but a two hour car chase is taking the piss.
There's actually a lot you could do with Mad Max, to expect a little more from it isn't exactly asking for much.

a film like Fury Road is held up as the best film that's come out for ages.
It says a lot about the state of the film industry at the moment, and the general public.

Yeah, really enjoyed Fury Road
Really takes it back to the action genre of the 80's and early 90's thought Tom Hardy was was strangely restrained throughout although his character kinda took a back seat to Furiosa. Nicholas Hoult as the reformed Warboy was brilliant, he was really the emotional heart of the film.
I'd definitely recommend anyone to go and see it over any of the comic book garbage that's been released over the past few years. I reckon Batman Begins and the first Captain America film are the only ones worth seeing out of that lot.

I really wanted to like it, I really tried......
but I didn't give a shit about any of the characters and it was more about Charlie The Ron's character than Max. That and the fact it only had one pace, which was full on from start to finish.

I'm ambivalent
You shouldn't blanket ban everything due to a few chemicals being dangerous. That being said, they wouldn't be developed in the first place if mdma and coke were decriminalised.
At least herbal highs (however dagerous) are created by "legitimate" companies. The ban will only encourage black market sales of God knows what.

I'm sure its fairly unpopular
But, in theory I agree, ideally I think drugs should be leagalised and regualted, but failing that, creating unending compounds syntheticly to get around drug laws is potoentially much more dangerous...

given that at the point someone was caught by police it would only be pertinent if they intended to give it to other people.

Can't this just be sidestepped by labeling them "not for human consumption"?
That's what they do at the minute, innit?
A friend of mine (cough) used to regularly indulge in herbal incense, and that shit will munt you over.
Strange that it should be legal whilst the real stuff is banned. Not to say that the answer is to outlaw all of it...

^what this beautiful swimsuit model said.
Just noticed that a facebook 'friend' had a rant against 'drugs' this morning.
Which makes a change from his usual early hours, alcohol-fuelled pityfest.

Not agreeing or disagreeing but just another soundbite to appeal to core supporters that 'we are doing something'
Same old bollocks "we will crack down on this and that" with no specifics as to how anything will happen in reality. Seize Illegal Immigrants Pay. Oh of course you know where they are being illegal and they hardly are in PAYE. Total bollocks.

Irrespective of the merits of any ban,
it seems a bit premature to be moaning about what the Bill says, given that not even a first draft has been published yet.
